About Me
Ahmed Atef Ahmed Ali obtained his PhD degree in 2017 in the Molecular and Cell Biology program of Academia Sinica and National Defense Medical Center under the supervision of professor Hsu-Shan Huang where he was awarded the first position excellence award for academic achievements among the PhD graduates of Academia Sinica and National Defense Medical Center. He obtained his MSc of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Microbiology and Immunology and BSc (HONS) of pharmaceutical sciences from Cairo University. With the assistance of professor Cheng-Yu Chen in Taipei Medical University, Ahmed was able to develop a smart biomarker theranostic probe for therapeutic and diagnostic applications of cancers using the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Ahmed also investigated the molecular signaling pathways that account for the therapeutic activities of various novel drugs developed by his research group. Moreover, Ahmed studied the microbiological properties and activities of sterile pharmaceutical preparations. Currently, Ahmed is a licensed clinical diagnostic and medical microbiologist. Besides the research experience, Ahmed has extensive academic teaching experience, that is evident from promoting from an academic researcher to teaching assistant to assistant lecturer to senior assistant lecturer in Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Dentistry, where he was awarded several awards for his exceptional academic and teaching achievements.
